Quick-pickled Asian Slaw

Lightly Seasoned Vinegar Blend is now available in Tesco and Morrisons.

Make this using Sarson’s Lightly Seasoned Vinegar Blend.


  • ½ small white cabbage
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled
  • 4 spring onions
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 2 thumb-sized pieces of ginger, peeled
  • ½ red chilli, finely diced
  • 75ml Sarson’s Lightly Seasoned Vinegar Blend


  1. Taking a sharp knife, thinly slice the cabbage and add to a large bowl.
  2. Thinly slice the spring onions, coarsely grate the carrot, finely grate the ginger & chilli; add the chopped coriander to the same bowl as the cabbage.
  3. Pour over the Sarson’s Lightly Seasoned Quick Pickle. Mix well and cover with cling film, leave for 15 minutes at room temperature.
  4. After 15 minutes, mix the slaw one last time and serve. Great served on a burger or hotdog.
